My Own Business

Who would have guessed a few years ago that I would run my own business out of my home? I love the flexibility it offers me but you know, I guess there’s something to be said for having big dreams and then following them. I love that I’m able to get on my HughesNet in the morning and see what’s going on in the world then have my cup of coffee and write all morning long. I get my best work done in the morning because that’s when it’s calmest around here but that doesn’t mean I don’t work in the afternoons, too. I do a lot of my catch up kind of stuff in the late afternoon because it seems that’s when it makes the most sense for a lot of my vendors and my publisher and all that to get in touch. I love the flexibility of working for myself and I think I’ve got many more years of productive work life ahead of me like this. The key is organization!
